INFORMATION FOR
WP²: William Paterson Women Pioneers, a new alumnae initiative focused on providing events and programs geared towards empowering women, will present Wellness for Women, an event designed to empower, inspire, and promote holistic health, on February 5, 2025.
Alumnae are invited to join fellow Pioneers for an evening focused on physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing, featuring informative presentations, community building, and networking. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the University Commons Ballrooms on campus. Admission is $10 per person; registration is required.
"I am thrilled that William Paterson is offering a program geared towards women," says Nafin Elias '20, MA '22, treasurer of the Alumni Executive Council. "The Wellness for Women event provides an opportunity to learn from other alumnae health experts while lifting one another up."
The evening will feature presentations by four keynote speakers: Jhiree Davis-Jones ’06, MEd ’13, a licensed professional counselor and owner of Cherry Blossom Healing and a middle school counselor in Paterson; Stefanie Shore, MSN ’23, a nurse practitioner and motivational speaker; Stephanie Spies '17, CFP®, a financial advisor with Modera; and Rebecca Stegmann, MA ’20, a licensed professional counselor and owner of Camellia Counseling. A networking reception will follow.
“We are excited to invite our alumnae to hear from alumnae wellness and financial professionals on topics such as mental and financial health, self-care, meditation, and controlling anxiety,” says Linda Kavan, senior associate director of alumni engagement and philanthropy and coordinator of the event. “The evening will be a great opportunity to destress, learn about self-care, and network with fellow Pioneers. Bring a friend!”
WP2: William Paterson Women Pioneers, which launched during the spring 2024 semester, is designed to provide educational, leadership, social, and cultural programs where the University’s alumnae can interact with and be inspired by others.
