BILLING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

E-STATEMENTS

E-Statements will be generated during the week of March 11, 2024 for the Summer Session.  To access the e-Statement, login to WPConnect and go to the Billing and Payments section.  Click on the Bill and Payment Home link to view and pay your bill.  Please note that the University does not mail paper bills.

An email notification will automatically be sent to the student at their WPUNJ email address each time an e-Statement is generated. The student can authorize a parent or third party direct access to his/her e-Statement by using their own unique username and password. Please note that parent/third party access DOES NOT provide access to the student's grades, income or personal information.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Cash: In person at the Student Enrollment Services (SES) located at Morrison Hall, Entry 2 from Pompton Road.

Check or Money Order: The most convenient way to pay by check is on-line via e-check (see below). You can also mail your payment to WPU, P.O. Box 60051, Newark, NJ 07101-8054 or pay in-person directly at SES. If you are mailing your payment, please allow sufficient mailing time for your payment to be process before your due date.  Please include your Banner ID number (855#) on your check and/or money order. 

Internet Check Payment ("e-check"):  E-check payments can only be used with personal checking and savings accounts. Users can not use commercial or home equity loan accounts (HELOC) through E-Check. There is no user fee charged for payments by e-checks.

Internet Credit Cards:  American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA. The cardholder will be charged a NON-REFUNDABLE convenience fee of 2.95%. 

To pay by e-check or credit card, the student must login to WPConnect and go to the Billing and Payments section.  Click on "Make a Payment" to view and pay your bill.  

Tuition Installment Payment (TIP):   The TIP installment plan will be available for Summer Session 2024 payment plus the $25 enrollment fee at the time of enrollment.  The final payment is due on June 24, 2024.  Once you enroll in the TIP plan, you can disregard the payment due date that appears on your billing statement.

Communication by e-mail

All communications regarding the Summer Sessions, including your summer session bill, will be sent to your WPUNJ email address. You should check your University email account regularly to ensure that you receive communications on a timely basis.

FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

To be considered for financial aid for Summer you MUST:

  • Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) at the end of the Spring 2024 semester. Undergraduate Students (cumulative GPA of 2.0 and a cumulative completion rate of 67%) Graduate Students (cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a cumulative completion rate of 70%)
  • Aid already awarded for the summer will be removed if you are not making SAP at the end of the Spring 2024 semester.
  • Federal Direct Loan Eligibility:
    Traditional Undergraduate and Graduate (Not Online Programs) Be enrolled for at least six (6) credits (for undergraduate students), or five (5) credits (for graduate students). Please note that graduate students must be enrolled in Graduate level courses. All students must maintain half time attendance to qualify for federal student loans. Please note: Your summer application will remain unprocessed until you formally register for the required minimum number of credits.

    Undergraduate WP Online Be enrolled for at least six (6) credits. All students must maintain half time attendance to qualify for federal student loans. Please note: Your summer application will remain unprocessed until you formally register for the required minimum number of credits.

    Graduate WP Online Be enrolled for at least three (3) credits. Please note that graduate students must be enrolled in Graduate level courses. All students must maintain half time attendance to qualify for federal student loans. Please note: Your summer application will remain unprocessed until you formally register for the required minimum number of credits.
  • Disbursements will take place when each of the above enrollment criteria are met (6 or 3) Enrollment Verification will drive disbursements.
  • Refunds will be generated only after Enrollment Verification and Disbursements.
  • NEW: Summer NJ TAG is available for this year!  Eligibility includes:
    • have received a TAG award in the Fall 2023 and/or the Spring 2024 term;
    • be enrolled in six or more credit hours in the summer 2024 term;
    • be enrolled in courses that are in the same undergraduate program at the same institution in which the student was enrolled during the fall or spring semester of academic year 2023-2024; and
    • be enrolled in courses that may be credited towards the student's graduation or academic major requirements.
  • PELL Eligibility: Students may be eligible for summer Pell even if they have received full-time Pell awards in the Fall and Spring semesters.
    • You must be enrolled in at least 6 credits (halftime). Students enrolled less than halftime may receive Pell is they did not receive their full year's award during the fall 2023/spring 2024.
    • Pell awards may not cover the full cost of summer tuition.
    • Use of Pell awards will affect your lifetime Pell limit of 12 full-time semesters (600%). Please note that you can receive the Federal Pell Grant for no more than 12 semesters or the equivalent (roughly six years). If you have any questions, contact your financial aid office.
    • If you have not used up 100% of your 2023-2024 Pell award, you may be eligible for a Pell grant in the summer.
  • Have a processed 2023-2024 Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) on file in the Financial Aid Office. (All Summer Aid will be based on your 2023-2024 FAFSA.)
  • Be enrolled in a MATRICULATED Program.
