New Trends, New Journey: The 5th Chinese-American Art Faculty Symposium


The Center for Chinese Art at William Paterson University in cooperation with the Department of Art, the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at William Paterson University, and the Chinese-American Art Faculty Association (CAAFA) presents “New Trends, New Journey: The 5th Chinese-American Art Faculty Symposium,” November 8-11, 2023.

The conference will include sharing and exchanging academic ideas and works, group discussions, and thematic speeches. The keynote speaker is Dr. Natasha Chuk, a New York City-based media theorist and researcher. The theme of her speech is “Art in the Age of AI.” The participants include not only Chinese-American professors of art from various universities across North America, but also from academic institutions in China. Their works and seminar themes reflect their cross-cultural experiences, creative vision, and the integration of the influences from their cultural and artistic background and perspectives.
